Getting Ready for Deer Season

georgiabuck2

Over the years I have had the blessing of not only consulting Whitetail Deer Management Practices but also harvesting some really nice animals and there are many keys to success.  However if there is any one key for me it this;  Slow down before you ever get in the woods.  I know for me that after spending a year getting ready for deer season and then add in the everyday pressures of life, the anticipation tends get me….well uptight and that carries over into the woods.  Take time a few days before going to just slow down, even if it’s just mentally to think through and prepare.  We get so rushed some times and trust me, it WILL carry over to the woods.  Straight Shooting.

Game Tamers Monster

Jay Decker of Game Tamers Tree Stands dropped this giant Texas whitetail a couple of years back in North Texas.  This old buck was harvested on free range land in the peak of the rut.  Jay was hunting from his Game Tamers TS-30 stand when the beast came into view. He smoked him with his bow at 15 yds, Jay was shooting his Mathews Outback, and wearing Mothwing Camo’s Early Season gear.  Way to go Jay! Smack down and back straps.
